What does "in Christ" mean?

Identification - when God looks at you He sees the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus
Position - You can get to heaven by your own goodness, but "in Christ" you can
The Exchange - God took the sinless nature of Christ and exchanged it for ours. He made the sinless One to be sin for us, so that in Him, we might become righteous.

THE GOAL

'I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. '
